Re: Another new guy in Washington state

Hello Arnie, Welcome to the site! I live about an hour and a half away from Everett, On the Canadian side of the world. Like Al mentioned there is lots of help for your build, in fact that's how I built my Surveyor. Lots and lots of pictures and U- tube videos. Finished my build in July 2015 and it ...

Re: My Surveyor Build - July 2013- July 2015

This trailer makes life so much easier, takes a little getting use to ! I pull the craft with my wife's 2.5 L Mazda CX5 with no problem... tows nice !

Don't know if the PVC is uv protected... guess I could always paint them if not.

Re: My Surveyor Build - July 2013- July 2015

Hello Al, Yes the trailer is built from Bryan's plans and stretched to 16 feet, I also used individual torsion axles as they were sourced locally . The rudders are made of 1/8" PVC plastic... 32" x 42" sheet folded in half to create a 16" x 42" Rudder. The internal frame is 1/2" square tubing with a...

I have some slight damage to the leading edge of the prop, right at the tip. What is the best method to repair as it only looks to have damaged the surface layers... gelcoat or apoxy resin ? Don't know what hit it, must have tossed something up from the beach.

You need to remove the tree magnet from the bow of the craft, manufacturers of hovercraft install these things just for You-tube laughs !

Re: Skirt

Thanks Al, I have watched your videos many times and they have helped a great deal throughout my build. I would like to see more of how the skirt is attached and fitted from the underside. Pictures of the airbox from the underside -splitter, fill panel, partition skirt etc.

Does any one have any pictures/video of how the skirt is attached to the craft. I'm looking for more detail and visual understanding of the process. I do have the Sevtec build videos but find this just gives very basic info and detail. My skirt is complete, just needs to be attached ! Any help appre...
