Re: Failed test flight

Nice Al! Your craft looks awesome. You're right, it levels out nicely at start-up. That was a big jump backward with your partition skirt but apparently it did the trick. I'm kind of wondering though - I know it was just a short test run, but I feel like your thrust is lacking a bit of power. When y...

Re: First message of the year ;)

The Explorer ("Hydra") is getting pretty close to being complete now but I've kind of put it on hold temporarily. I've started a new project, a Prospector. So, I have two crafts in the works right now. Hopefully I'll get something finished soon. ;) I really need this Prospector to be finished, it se...

Hope everyone has dreams of starting new projects, finishing old ones, and having a blast out on the water (or land, since we can do both). H...

Login Problems Solved

Since the forum had been updated to this new version I'd been having problems being able to participate here on the board. I could view posts, and apparently ...

Re: Wooden Insets?

Thanks Bryan!

I may decide to give the "non-wood" method a try.

On the Prospector plans, for example, the H6 and H7 panels show wood insets that appear to function as more than just screw attachment points. Are these of some structural importance also, or still just not necessary?

Wooden Insets?

The plans generally suggest the use of "C'fir" (or clear fir) to be used where wooden insets are called for. I'm curious if there's some reason why clear redwood could not be used? It seems to be light and has good moisture resistance qualities.

Thanks,

Contact link is down

Hey Bryan,

In case you weren't aware, it appears that your store contact/email function is not working.
