Re: Hull Jig

Hypothetically, if you wanted to sell a Sevtec flat-pack, the thing to do would be to have all the panels pre-cut, beveled and fiberglassed. I don't think you'd need a whole flat jig with it, but instead several mdf triangles cut to the correct angle to support the sides and bow during assembly. May...

Re: Building Without Wood

While I haven't tried Azek specifically, I did test layups of several different types of composite building materials from Lowes that I used on my home, including extruded plastic exterior trim boards and plastic-coated-sawdust trim boards. Re: Hovercraft Lawsuit in Alaska

I think noise ordinances would be an uphill climb in most places because it would require the taxpayers to buy a decibal meter for every Barney Fife and training on how to use them. Most people won't think that's worth the price to help out a very small group of us. In Florida there's obviously a cr...

Re: Hovercraft Lawsuit in Alaska

Some of the thumbnail images haven't updated yet, but everything should have this year's info. I've been busy so I phoned in the graphics. Last year's design plus this year's dates :)

What are you going to use for paint? If you use Perfection they have a mix-in texture additive called Intergrip.

Re: 1.07 multiplier

It sounds like this is becoming a popular build option. I wonder if there's enough demand to make an official set of plans with the dimensions. It could be the New Surveyor, and all 7' craft could become Vanguards.
