What are you going to use for paint? If you use Perfection they have a mix-in texture additive called Intergrip.

It sounds like this is becoming a popular build option. I wonder if there's enough demand to make an official set of plans with the dimensions. It could be the New Surveyor, and all 7' craft could become Vanguards.
