FREE foam for SEV build

Post by SumnerJ »

I have three sheets of closed cell polyurethane Last-A-Foam left over from a hovercraft build. This same material is used in airplane and boat composite foam/fiberglass builds. I purchased these from General Plastics in Tacoma Washington.

Details on the three pieces are below:

1 piece 1" thick, 22.5" x 48" Last-A-Foam FR-6720. 20lbs/cu ft. General Plastics sells it for $110.

1 piece 0.75" thick, 24" x 48" Last-A-Foam FR-6720. 20lbs/cu ft. General Plastics sells it for $87.

1 piece 0.5" thick, 24" x 48" Last-A-Foam FR-3704.5. 4.5 lbs/cu ft. General Plastics sells it for $32.

If you doing composite foam/fiberglass work, this is the foam you want. It's extremely easy to work with, and produces an incredible strong panel.

I'm clearing out the garage, and it's free to a good home. All you need to do is pick it up from Minnetonka, Minnesota.
